The automation of a manufacturing machine is just one step. In the case of small series or small quantities in general, a manual quality check or manual measurement of the parts during production has usually been carried out on the manufactured parts.
This is exactly where Kroeplin comes in with the use of a robot for fully automatic measurement. For example, a production machine is loaded and unloaded fully automatically. The finished parts can then be measured automatically. The robot takes over the work of the worker and can determine the desired dimensions using a wide variety of measuring devices. The meaurings are documented and further processed according to customer requirements. Cobots from Universal Robots are used.
The system is very flexible and can be configured for different measurement objects or components. If component geometries, dimensions or even the entire range of parts change, a comparatively quick and easy adjustment is usually possible.
